Youth Ministry
Here are some scriptures I wanted to share with yall that may give some encouragement to all of us youths.
The Lord has revealed to me light in the darkness I find myself in at certain times. One scripture that has been that for me is 1st Corinth. 10:13, describing victory over temptation, which I know is incredibly hard to overcome without Gods help. (no temptation has overtaken me except such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I am able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that I may be able to bear it.)
If people are ridiculing you for doing the right thing, then read Matthew 5: 11, 12. (Blessed are you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you!) Also look up James 1:2-5
Respect is an issue people fight over and bicker about, but to end the feud of that subject the Lord has given us a scripture telling us the way to get respect, Proverbs 11:16 (A kind hearted woman gains respect) You don't have to be mean or cruel to gain respect. If you practice good virtues (such as the ones listed in 2 Peter 1:5-1) and if you have a good heart, then that is what wins other peoples hearts.
So many people struggle to be what the world sees as "perfect" but instead of looking at what the world sees as perfect & looking to see what God says is perfect, read Matthew 19:21 (Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go sale what you have & give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow me")
Also, forgiveness that is an issue I have struggled with but the Lord has revealed the truth to my heart and has opened up my mind to the importance of forgiving others. In Matthew 10:18-35 it explains a story as an example to show how crucial forgiveness is (Read this scripture in your bible and highlight it)
Just remember, in our youth we should be seeking God and His word for direction in our lives. I will leave you with one last scripture and a few for yall to look up as well. (Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33) and 2nd Thess 3:16 and John 15:7-8; Psalms 139:23-24; Psalms 119:128-133.
I pray that God will light all of your paths and that He sends many blessings yalls way.
Quinn
